Well, in the northern neck area of virginia where my boat is located as of 5pm when I left to come back to Northern Virginia there is still no power or water at my parents. I went home on friday morning to check on friends and family and try to help them with anything. As I drove closer and closer to the neck...I honestly got scared, it was just awful. I got about 4 miles from home and off the main road looked over at my friends house who captains our race team on his 25 and is a memeber of this site ( Doug Anderson ) trees and power lines everywhere..rushed in and asked if everyone was ok..was given a beer and was told cook out tonight, no worries..lol,typical northern necker. Well I finally left there and got to mom and dads ( owns a cape doray 25d ) was told things were fine and he got the boats out in the creek away from the dock and secured, THAAAANNKS DAAAD. Anyway our marinia lost 2 docks but no boats..whew..Anyway lots of clean up but people are in still in good spirits and helping each other out getting back to "the good life" in the northern neck of Va. It is also my understanding that Brooke Wilson lives in UrBanna close by, my thoughts are of him, his family and the people of that great town.

Boats are pretty tough, and float. Homes aren't, and don't. People are somewhere in between, but are the most important. We're pulling for everyone in Isabel's wake. The boats and homes will return. Fortunately, most of the people made it through.
Good work, Jonathon and company.

Thanks, Jonathan. Actually, I only live in Urbanna on Fridays when I'm sailing. I live and work in suburban Richmond.
"Even Chance" came through the storm just fine. Urbanna Yachting Center didn't fare as well, however. There was three feet of water in the office/shop/showers; the fuel dock and one front dock were destroyed. One big stinkpot was floated off its jackstands in the parking lot. One sailboat was heeled up on the bulkhead -- the rest seemed to be relatively fine.
I'll post some pictures when I have time (and can figure out how to do it). Right now I'm checking on how the 60 churches I superintend came through the storm -- including a small tornado that went through the Richmond area this morning.
UNBELIEVABLE! I was in slip B - 50 on C dock. Sold my baby on September first. Have not been able to get a hold of new owner. Dumb luck timing. Sorry to see the mess. Will be going over this weekend to see in person. Wanted to go over this past weekend but had to clean up around home and get tree off house.
