I know this will have been discussed before, but can anyone point me in the right direction for the installation of an Autopilot. I have the Raymarine ST1000 +.

Many thanks

Jonathan,

Uh, do you have the directions that came with the unit? If so, just follow them.

You have to drill a hole in the fiberglass for one end of the unit. You have to drill a hole for either the glue-in or the screw-in pin for the tiller. For a Catalina 25 you will need the 5in. extension for the rod. You have to install the power recepticle. (I put mine in the starboard cubby to keep it out of the weather.)

Works great.

If you don't have the instructions, I will fax mine to you.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, here you go. I purchased a 4" extension (see black piece on the shaft). The power plug is in the combing box along with the remote plug.
