First race weekend under the belt for blubyu2 in the local PHRF. 5-10 kts, then dead calm, then 8-12 then ...dead calm. Nice 105 degree days to wallow on a little lake with 40' tunnel hulls maruading up and down the race course. Competition - C27 x2, O25, M22, Capri 22, and two others could not tell.
In the 2003 PHRF Handbook, an O'Day 25 FK rates anywhere from 222 to 237. Averaged out it rates at 230. (Excluding Gulf PHRF which rates at 243 - all that wave action!) Utah has 222 and Detroit 231 (inland lakes). New England rates the the C250 CB at 225 and there are 3 venues rating the WK at 228. Mike - I'd appeal to the local PHRF Committee and ask them to review BOTH boats. Derek (PHRF Comm. Canyon Lake).
Tom - the only ones listed (in the North-East) are New England @ 228 and East Long Island @ 213 - both sites have only one boat racing. West Florida and Canyon Lake both rate them @ 228. Derek
