It's cold and I can't stand looking at my boat on a trailer, it needs to be in the water. Other than that everything seems to be OK with the world except the yucky green stuff in my fresh water holding tank and water lines. Getting the lines out and rep

Its not necessary to remove the tank to cure the problem. Just pump out the YUCK and refill with fresh a time or two then dose a fill with a cup of clorox and let stand overnight and repeat the flush and fill routine until you can live with the tankage.

Val, thanks for the help. However there are no holddown straps or styrofoam spacers. The compartment under the starboard bench has a cross member across the middle. This cross member is keeping me from extracting the tank. I've tried the foreward and

My 86 also does not have straps, styrofoam or a hatch above the tank. It looks like they installed the tank before installing the inner liner. I gave up trying to remove it and rinsed the tank with bleach a couple of times. The water is consumable but we

My '81 water tank also is not removable easily. I had to cut out the fibreglass stringer to get to the hose connections so that I could replace the hoses. Even then it was a struggle to remove the tank for a good cleaning. I think it's another minor desig

Another approach that seems to me to be much easier and cheaper is to buy one of those Beckson 4 inch screw-in deck plate from west marine. Cut a nice hole and get your arm inside that tank and do a real clean up job. Then a little silicone and a few s
