PW,

Try this link...this is the group I know went last year. They were mostly Mac's, but other boats as well. They came from all over the country. Sadly, we were unable to make it. It did not fit our summer schedule.

I was with the flotilla last April, but have not heard anything about another yet. Then again, I haven't really looked. The talk with the group was doing the Fla. Keys next year. Spring is the time to go to the Bahamas before the weather gets too hot and the storms start up. There were four Mac 26Xs, but also four C-25s. I had the only C-250. All together twelve of us made it across. Two stayed behind because of serious troubles.

Hello PW,

I set up the trip last April that Ben mentioned. I plan to go again this April for about 3 weeks. Exact dates are not set yet but we will leave Homestead FL about April 3 or 4 and sail or motor to Bimini. Then on to Chub Cay and then on to New Providence, where our wives will fly into Nassau. We expect 4-6 days there before we retrace (maybe) our steps. Or we may take a different route home. Total time gone will be about three weeks.

Doug & Mo Cavin are taking their C-25 WK and Justin Pipkorn & Edith will take their 20 footer that he built. Both went last year to the Berry Islands with us. I'll be taking my South Coast 23 since my C-25 is a swing keel and I don't trust it in rough water.

We will be willing to discuss another boat or two going with us if it fits your time schedule.

Another suggestion is to get Ben to lead a group on a shorter trip since he is now an experienced "old salt".
