I would like to add a "me too" to the list of people who have copied the A frame and find it works well for us. I use the winch mounted on my mast. One day while staying home because my little one was too sick to go to school I raised the mast all by myself. Boy was my wife surprised when she got home! It is still kind of scary at the start but it is really pretty easy to raise and lower the mast this way. Only problem I had was that my A frame was not centered at the bow. I double checked my work, it was spot on. Turned out my chain plates are not symetrical. That is what I get for not buying a C25!
