We've had recent posts discussing this year's Regatta. Time is running short- if we're going to have one (and we definitely should) we need to act now!

Ed - a very timely post! I agree with your sentiments that we should hold Nationals this year. However, it would be nice to know what kind of attendance to expect. I would like to see the venue further South this year - Salt Lake and Lac St.Clair are a h

Derek, I'd bring my C250 if you hosted the regatta on Canyon Lake<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Since the election isn't over, it's not appropriate for me to "officially" solicit the regatta . . . yet. That said, I do hope that we have

I might participate in a Chicago event. If the nationals go elsewhere and Lake Michigan skippers are hesitant to trailer, I might suggest participation in the GLSS. It runs about the same time out of Chicago.

In an ideal world, I think the regatta should move around from one year to the next. This being a real world, I might attend if it is held in Lake Michigan. The other possibilities are just too far for me.

being from the midwest i vote for the chicago area.
there has been a good turnout the years it has been in the great lakes areas.

looking at past championships, the long beach regatta looked to have drawn quite abit of participation. could this be a p
