Why not get the sheaves we all did a few years back from Bellpat marine. I believe I used 5/16" external Halyards. It has worked fine for me.

Let's face it--Derek thinks 5/16ths halyards would look dorky in front of the J-22 hot-rodders...

Dave - it's not the J-22's that worry me - they race one design. It's those pesky J-24's and the J-27!
After a long discussion with Hal at Sailnet, I've ordered the new main halyard. 29' of 3/16" V-12 interlocking center spliced into 41' of 1/4" XLS. Hopefully, the family will buy me a new jib halyard for my b'day in Feb...

<br />Hey guys & gals!
I'm contemplating replacing the halyards on "TSU" with all line instaead of wire-to-line. Does anyone know what is the max diameter line that the wire-to-line sheaves will accomodate.? I plan to use hi-tech stuff so hope that I don't have to replace the sheaves.

Derek,

The sheaves will accept 5/16ths line without a problem. If you switch to an internal set up like I did, you can replace the 4 sheaves with 2 larger ones that will allow for 3/8ths.
