I am considering a new C-250 WB but am having reservations about the sea worthiness of a WB boat. I will be sailing this boat in Puget Sound which can get some heavy seas.

Has anyone sailed a C-250 in Puget Sound or other heavy water areas, and if so,

I'm sure he may weigh in, but Arlyn takes his yearly to the Great lakes. And There are more than 5-6 of us on San Francisco bay. The Water ballast has not been proven to be any more or less tender than the wing keel. Like all things in life a prudent s

Hi, a little history first (an abreviation). Water ballast took some hits when it was first introduced. Much of the basis for this was poor handling of these boats. Conclusions were likely jumped...that because the ballast was not as low as traditional

You have a new boat...sometime back in production and I would be just guessing by saying around hull number 300....Catalina started putting a block on the leading edge of the portion of the keel that would be above the axis when the keel is down. So, Cat

I probably have one of those newer hulls (#384). But, I don't recall seeing the block that you refer to. The next time I bottom paint, I'll give it a look.
