I found it impossible with the standard set-up to adjust the traveler as needed - it's location is prohibitive and, especially when racing, takes the helmsmans attention aw

Hi Derek,

I would interpret your modifications as mods to running rigging as the traveler itself is unchanged - only the control lines were modified. The rules allow for pretty much unlimited changes to running rigging.
