Has anyone recently purchased and installed an auto pilot for their C-25. I know there are sveral brands on the market. I would appreciate any opinions. I am thinking of sailing from the south shore of Long Island, New York to Block Island R.I. this summe

I installed a Raymarine ST100+ in 1999 and am quite pleased with it.

A self-steering device of some sort was rated by the Catalina List (mailto:list@sailnet.com) as the most valuable item for single-handed sailing. As I sail single much of the time, I'

I recently added a Raytheon ST2000+ autopilot. I knew it was going to be handy, but I'm pleased far beyond expectations. The thing is totally addictive! It's got to be the most worth while modification for singlehanding in spite of the price

On my Catalina 25 I used a Autohelm 1000, and loved it! I had an 800 Autohelm that had problems, and sent it back to the factory, and had it rebuilt at no charge.

I have both a Navico ball screw model and an Autohelm 1000. The Navico has been fitted as a below deck installation which engages with a lever. The Autohelm is my backup and in mounted in a conventional fashion. Both work fine. The speed of action is
