So far, the perfect oil change has yet to happen. My 7.5 l/s Honda 4 stroke makes a frustrating mess each time I drain the oil. I have fabricated sheet metal oil shutes, etc. to route the old oil into an oil pan, but most of it slides down the side of the

I here ya Todd - in fact, I've dropped the oil plug into the perverbial drink, and had to walk a mile to get a new one..

I'm assuming you are doing the oil changes while the engine is on the support bracket/boat - what I do is loosen the port side

One thing I do is shape a piece of duct tape into a chute and tape it just under the oil plug. Make sure the housing is clean, so the tape sticks well. That gets the oilstream away from the lower housing. Then I just hold a coffee can or some such under t

Go to your local auto store or a good hardware store and purchase a nipple type fitting for a tube. Be sure its the same size and thread type where the drain plug fits . attach a section of clear tygon tube to the nipple/tube fitting end now you can direc
