I'll be in Sacramento Jan 20 through 22. I am going to have a group from local San Diego County government with me. I know we have some Association members up there. I would like recommendations on places for dinner(s). Could someone recommend a couple of places? I am interested in the waterfront, also Old Town Sacramento and prefer something interesting and unique rather than the nearest Denny's or Chili's. We'll be at the CHP Academy. If I can't sail at least I can drag the group down to the waterfront (I do whenever possible here).
Since I have the group to deal with a trip to Folsom Lake is probably not possible this time. Besides it's winter up there! (Digging out my coat). Maybe next time.
Jim: You might try Fat City or the Firehouse in Old Town....Frank Fat's near the Capitol...there are also some great places in the Pavillions near Sac State....Also, off Garden Highway to the West of I-5 there used to be a place called Crawdad's, may have changed names by now, but there are two or three places in addition to a Chevy's...Dan #727
