The entry/registration form can now be downloaded from the "Racing" section on the C25/250 homepage, or from our local Fleet 94 site: http://home.comcast.net/~fleet94/
There is also the beginning of a "BOATS Needing Crew" list, and a "CREW wanting boat" list so folks can match up. Inexperienced racing skippers can get some help, while crews wanting to "fly in" can find a ride.....
Also, by hitting the link to the Nationals homepage from our site, one can see photos of the race course/launching areas, the marina, etc.....We are getting great support from our local All Catalina group! Much more info in just a few days.....
Gary, I am feeling rather ill after looking at your beautiful sailing area. The admrial has a new job, and I don't think we will be able to make it there. She was sounding very positive when I first approached her on the subject, but so it goes. Good sailing and hope everyone does well in the nationals.
Gary, I just spent the past 1/2 hour checking out your fabulous web site for the nationals. It is obvious that you have put a tremendous amount of work into this project. Thank you, thank you,.....! My wife and I will be there. I am pretty sure that we have a commitment on 7/14, so we may have to drive most of the night and the next morning the make the first races on Thursday. How many throw outs will you allow? We haven't done any real racing since the late 80's so we may lurk around the back of the pack for the first few races.
IF we get in the 8 scheduled races, we will have ONE throwout, according to the race Notice. We will try our "dang-dest" to be there to assist you getting splashed and rigged in short order on the morning of the 15th.....so you can get out there and kick our rears, even WITH the oven!
Val, et al, REALLY, REALLY, I can take NO credit for what you are seeing on the web except my never ending text. I have a GREAT fleet. Steve and Chris Eldred made up our snazzy Fleet 94 brochure and constructed the entry form, Ray Clift has done the Fleet 94 website, Terry and Kathie Annis keep me organized and getting the contacts with SYSCO (our race management group), and Dale Mack of the Columbia River All Catalina Association has done the amazing work on the information page. Everyone in Fleet 94 has come to meetings, offered help and support. I am so blessed to work with such a fantastic bunch of folks......Trust me....it isn't ME!
Gary B. Vice Commodore Fleet 94 Captain s/v Encore! #685 SK/SR
