Oh man! That looks absolutely wonderful! Here in the Western Michigan area we're getting a ton of snow. Schools, activities and most everything else is closing for the evening as 5 - 10 inches of snow is falling and the wind is supposed to pick up.

Enjoy, because if I were where you are I would be!

I guess that's not snow on the beach....

You run quite a bit of mast bend... or is that distortion/illusion in the photo?

Jonathan:

You must be living in Hell. Or at least not far from it! Seven mile beach is my favorite. If I could figure a way to make a living down there... I'm dreaming again. As it is, the roads are iced over, I'm stuck at home and I'm out of beer. Thanks for the picture, it brings back memories.

Oh, that looks nice! I mean the beach . . ur boat! yeah, whatever.

My first wife and I honeymooned on that beach. It was a great place to be.

Was there much of a reef to go over?

There's a reef that encloses the North Sound which I have to go through to get around to the beach, but there are three well marked channels that you can go through. The beach itself isn't sheltered by a reef- it's just calm because the prevailing winds are offshore in that direction.

Cheers

Who said it's too cold to winter sail in Ohio?

My local sailing club gathers this time of year to go ice boating. These folks really go fast!

Yes, there are Stingray's in the area although they are harmless. The amin concentration of them is at "Stingray City" although you can see them pretty much anywhere around the island.
