I'm planning on replacing the lower closed turnbuckles on my C25 with the open body type. Anyone know what size I need(length of tb body and bolt diameter)? Any other sources than CD?
Thanks,
Sid

check with a local sailmaker or rigger. They usually have those items in stock. Not sure of the body and bolt diameter - You will need to get that measurement from your existing equipment. I know the diameter on mine changed when I rerigged the boat 3 years ago.

The newer style Catalina turnbuckles are very functional and attractive. The body is bronze and the cover is stainless. You can order them from the manufacturer for a lot less (probably save enough to afford all eight) - Garhauer Marine.

What size would I order for Garhauer or my local shop? The tb's are on the boat at the lake and I don't want to remove them without the replacements to put on as the boat stays in water.
Thanks,
Sid

I know there are a lot of deminsions associated with the complete item but all I did was order the replacements for the new 250s. I think you will do best to go through your local dealer or CD, when I tried to do it through Garhauer they sort of balked, (they often do when talking to retail consumers). I ordered from CD and my local dealer at the same time, (by mistake!) and my local dealer got them faster and sold them for the same price as CD.
