I'm replacing the rigging on my C25. Does anyone know how to take the furler off the head stay so I can install the new stay? I can get the bolts and screws loose but nothing seems to come apart.

Jim,

What kind of furler, brand, is it?

If you are not sure, look in some mags or catalogues to identify it.

I guess that would have helped. It is a Hood furler and probably origanal to the boat, 1980.

I believe that I have the manual for the original equipment Furler. Send an email to frich@suffolk.lib.ny.us with your address or fax and i will send out a copy.

I have a manual for hood furler. This manual is for 700/800 and 900 SL Model. How can I indentify which model I have in my boat, tall rig
C25 '85? I dont see any number on the unit.

I have the brochere that came with the boat,no manual though. On it the only differance I see is the 705 is for boats up to 30ft, the 810 is for boats to 35ft. and the 915 is to 45ft.
I've tried finding some info from Hood but haven't had much luck.

Jim I mailed the Roller Furler manual out today 2/1, i I believe it address' this issue

I know Hood is still in business--has anyone found them on the Web? I'd like to get a manual for my furler--I think it was added to the boat by the 2nd owner.
