Greetings:

I own a 25' Catalina sailboat (4 foot draft), and am looking for marinas in the abovementioned areas because I want to relocate my boat to waters with ocean access. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

Hi,

I asked a friend of mine who lives up that way. This what he said...

"Windward Yacht yard, and other locations in Newburyport MA is the closest to the ocean. Also, there are several marinas on Great Bay ( great Bay Marina, Little Bay Marina) and in Dover NH( don't know the name), but it is a one hour run, by boat, to the ocean. Also, there are the Kittery and Portsmouth yacht clubs, with spaces/anchorages closer to the ocean, but these are pricey. The people I knew with 30' sailboats, rented slips in Freeport Maine, that being the closest they could get to home without having to wait for years to get a spot."

It sounds like you will either have to drive a ways or motor a ways to get out to the Ocean. Good Luck. Pat

Thanks, Pat. I've already had a look at Great Bay Marine, and got on their three year waiting list. An hour drive from home for me (same as it is now to Lake Winnipesaukee), but their prices are about what I'm paying now...$110/foot...so it could do. I'll check into some of the others you've mentioned while I'm waiting on GBM...got nothing but time.
