Went to buy my new ob yesterday, and the dealer told me Nissan is out of the s stroke business. "Oh, no!" I thought.

This a.m. I went on line to onlineoutboards.com and discovered they had the Nissan 9.8, electric start, 25" shaft, 2 stroke in stock, sooooooooo . . ..

The deed is done.

Some recently posted that they were pleased with the service from onlineoutboards.com, which encouraged me to do it this way - thanks for the referance.

Great Don, "hold the course" and keep us informed. Should be of interest to all.

Congratulations Don. For what it's worth, I think you made a great choice. IMO, reliability and light weight is a tough combination to beat!

Gotta agree that reliability is important. With the ex I couldn't trust it to go when I was out in the middle of the lake, and wanted to motor in, read that "no wind". I'll let y'awl know the progress of the order and how it works once the lake turns to blue and the grass to green!

I noticed that they have a 9.8 4 stroke with a 25 inch shaft that is near the weight of the Honda 8 classic xls which you can't get any more. Good news, with that weight you may not even need to upgrade the motor mount from the stock version.

Hey Don,
I hope the "ex" you were referring to was a motor.
