Fleets are chartered by the NA, under the supervision of the Secretary, and require a minimum of three members of the National Association to be chartered. When you are ready, I will send you a fleet development manual, e-mail your address, and I will send the Fleet Development Manual to you. BTW, you may want to consider have a fleet for 25/250's rather than just for 25's.
The NA would love to see a fleet developing in West Florida. So if you sail there, let us know and lets get this going.
In addition to Fleet 95, Wichita and Fleet 43 NEBYC, Syracuse, Indiana we have two others that in the talking stages. San Diego and the Great Sacandaga Lake, NY. All this is great news.
I'd be interested in joining a "west coast" fleet even tho' I live in Missouri. Might give me the incentive to go on and retire and move to my piece of ground at Pt. Charlotte.
I would agree "West Florida" fleet is a pretty broad definition. RoofRoof sails out of Clearwater and I would think a fleet would be geographically close to clearwater. As that fleet develops, it would define the general area that it intends serving. Likewise if there is interest in a second "West Florida" fleet, say in Port Charlotte area, the NA would be open to having a fleet there also. Key requirements is having a group of c25 sailors who want to organize together as a fleet chartered by the NA. The key for fleet development is interested c25/250 sailors in an area.
Any one with questions please feel free to contact me, or open discussion on the forum.
