After the discussion some time ago I finally looked at the pitch of my prop. It was a 10 by 9.5. I just got a Michigan Wheel, Michigan Propellers, Michigan Match, (these Michigan guys seem a bit insecure) 10 by 5 part #012113. I put it on a while ago and I am very impressed with the quality of the product. I hope the 5 pitch makes a lot of difference.
Coincidently, I received my 2004 Michigan Wheel catalog today and I think I'm going with a 9 3/4" by 5.5" prop. I'm not sure what my current prop is since the numbers on it don't cross to anything in the book, but I'm quite sure it is a speed prop.

Who did you order your prop from? <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote"> A local power boat shop that resurrected my motor when I bought my boat. It was $75. As we all often say, support your local guy when you can.

Sometimes that local guy IS the cheaper way to go. The prop I'm considering is $89-92 from the big guys(WM $ BUS), but when I stopped in at the local chandlery, the same prop was priced around $75 also.
