I just received my tax notice for a boat in North Carolina. They have my 87 C-25 Swing Keel valued at $11,300. Could this be correct? Is there a book out there that tells the value?

That seems high but as an owner I love to hear that C25’s are going for high prices. One of the goals of this association is to keep our boats value up. All of us or our heirs will have to sell the boats someday.
Not soon I hope.

Hi Buddy,

Mine was appraised here in Forsyth at 10,500. I sent in documentation, copies of BucNet, NADA and Boat Trader ads from this region and they reduced it to 8,080.00 based on what I sent in. Give them a call and tell them that you want to have the assessment reviewed.

Dunno about NC, but West Coast value for a swinger is from $6K to $8K... maybe $9/10 for a bristol example (including trailer).

Does that valuation include the trailer? (In Calif, the boat trailer is not included in the property valuation as it is taxed seperately (as a motor vehicle).
