I own a 1996 C250WK equipped with a tall rig and 150% Genoa. I am contemplating changing the rig to a standard rig and cutting down the sails to match the standard rig (probably cut the jib to a 135%). In my opinion the tall rig is just too much for the

Do you have a 2nd reef point in your mainsail? We've found that the WK tall rig can get overpowered quite easily, but the 2nd reef point has been a godsend. Its one of the best things we've ever done to the boat.

Brad, that conversion has been done...and in fact (I think)Catalina was willing to work with owners to accomplish that. Not sure if this requirement was original owner or not...but Catalina is usually quite ready to make happy owners regardless. I would

I have a question. Is there any reason you couldn't put a stanard rig main sail on a tall rig? If its possible, I would think this would be the best comprmise since you could always switch back to the tall rig sail on days when the wind is light and it wo

Thanks for the suggestions. At the same time I posted the topic I also contacted Catalina. In another example of the excellent service they have given me with past boats (C22 and C250WB), they have offered to help me solve my problem. Catalina is going
