Are there any sailors on this forum that sail the east coast from the carolinas through georgia? I am curious what the winds are like during different months of the year. Any advice or links to websites are welcome.
Try this, http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/Maps/Florida.shtml, I think you can find everything you need on this site. This one is for Florida, but they are available for all states on the East coast.
I own property just outside of Southport, NC. I had contact with a club I believe they were named the Southport Sailing Club, on there site was quite a bit of information. If you do a yahoo search you should find them.
We sail in southern NC and some in SC. On most days we can do some great ocean sailing! I'll have to check the log book to get more specifics on wind direction and knots made. Jason and Fran 1982 catalina swing to wing Southport,NC
