Hi Everyone!

I am well into my winter projects and a few questions have come up.

I purchased from CD one of those mast plates that allows blocks to be attached to run lines aft. Is it recommended to seal this against the original mast step that goes on top? What about water being trapped between it and the mast? With it's flared up edges it seems that this may be a problem.

With regards to the windows on my 1984 aluminum vintage type. When I remove the screws from the inside will the window then be able to come out, or is there something else I must do? I want to reseal a couple of suspect windows.

Thanks to all

Hmmm.. I haven't seen a new mast plate from CD. Are all 4 sides of the plate rolled up to form a dish shape? (Most plates I've seen only have 2 or 3 sides rolled up).

If it's a water-catcher I'd be inclined to drill a couple of small drain holes in the corners
where water can get out.

After you remove the screws, the aluminum windows can (carefully and gently) be pulled free fromt he outside.

Yes thats the mast step, Just concerned with the two edges turned up water may lay in there.

I know I'm being overly cautious again

Thanks for the info on the windows too.
