The piece that locks my anchor locker shut seems to have had it, so I am trying to find a replacement. I didn't see one listed in the Catalina Direct catalog. Has anyone else found a replacement?

Thanks.

I got one from SailNet ( www.sailnet.com ). It was almost a perfect match to the one on my '85. It also cost about one half of what West Marine wanted. I get a lot of stuff from SailNet, and I recommend them.

I found one that does like quite a bit like mine. Sailnet says it is chrome-plated brass.. would that hold up OK for this application?

Pretty expensive to replace if it doesn't.

I bought a chromed brass barrel bolt to replace mine, thinking that the design of the original seemed to invite sticking due to salt buildup and/or corrosion in the tight-fitting slider.

Defender carries that latch and the plastic ones for the teak doors in our boats.

I really hated the barrel bolt thing so I found a cam latch that closes with a nice click, lets a bungee be attached for holding it up near the port pulpit rail, and can be locked with a padlock:
