The thread on glueing blue plastic tarps reminded me of the mental list I'm compiling of sources for materials and parts for various boat projects (the Tyvek is a great idea for sewing prototypes). I'm especially interested in this as I have several boat projects underway at once. It's downright painful to discover I could have procured something less expensively from, for eg., a local or online industrial supplier when I've paid a premium for the same thing repackaged as a 'marine specialty item'.

Someone turned me on to Champion for trailer parts recently. eBay has been good for material for bags, covers etc. Here's one with a truely boggling list of stuff:

What are some of others' favorite sources? Given both the depth and breadth of knowledge represented in this forum, I think a very useful list of such sources be compiled and perhaps added to a links page.

Actually, this very thing was done relatively recently which resulted in the updating of the "links" page of this website with a ton of useful stuff.
