I have read the forum regarding your new nisssan engine and last week, I ordered the same, 9.8 XLS Nissan from online outboards. Apparently the last one they had. My question is, since no one is at my house during the day, I have had it shipped to my office instead. I am expecting it to arrive any day. How big of a box or crate is it in? How did they ship it to you, UPS or common carrier? I'm really excited and hope it arrives prior to this weekend so I can use it!!
The box weighs about 68 pounds, not sure who the carrier was, as it was left in front of our house while we were out. I'd guess the box is about 4*2*1 and is fairly easy to move around. I suspect that if I needed to it would have fit into the back (trunk) of my Cavalier with the back seats down.
While I haven't used it yet, it sits in our porch waiting for snow and ice to go away, I am looking forward to having a motor I can depend on.
Let us know how it works when you get to use it.
I understand that Nissan/Tohatsu are getting out of the 2 stroke business in motors that we'd be interested in. Glad you got their last one, my local guy couldn't get one for me when I went to order it, so I had to go online, and order it freom onlineoutboards.com.
