Hi there, I'm considering putting lazy jacks on my boat. I also have to rig and derig, or is it step and unstep (two step?)about 4 times a year. How much of a pain is it to derig lazy jacks from the boom/mast? Is it worth it. My furler has already added a degree of difficulty to stepping, but a furler is definitely worth it. Once I get around to hooking up my tiller pilot, then lazy jacks won't be such a priority. So what do you think, Oh wise ones? (or is it OB1)

I single hand quite a bit, and my lazy jacks are REALLY helpful. They are no big deal to rig and unrig, especially if you compare rigging/unrigging 4x/year against the number of times you will lower your main in a year! Make sure you can leave enough slack in them so that your mains'l cover does not get pulled out of place with them....
