I have an '86 FK with plastic seacocks. Do those need to be greased? If so, how do you get them apart to grease them? They seem to turn nice and smooth now so I'm wondering if they need to be messed with. What other things should I look for when inspecting them? Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

If they're Marelon, check the info here http://www.forespar.com/resources/tips/MarelonLube.htm

Other things to look for:

broken/rusty hose clamps
cracks in the hoses/hardened hoses
corroded/loose thru-hulls
leaks/rising water

Thanks for the info and the link John. I haven't put it in the water so I don't know if I have leaks or rising water yet. :)
