About 1 mile from work (5 minutes), 17 miles from home (20 minutes)

I am at the boat for lunch almost every day... it is very hard to
pry myself away to go back to the afternoon grind... and getting
harder every day.

However, If I work through lunch and take off at 4
I can get a really nice sail in until the days get
short again.

If I'm thinking about the Nationals I'll just have
to start sailing every day. :>)

Yes hon, I know the lawn needs mowing... but I'm in training.

Used to be 98 miles from Vandenberg AFB to Ventura, and took about 2 hours on 101. Now we live in Houston (Clear Lake City), and its about 7.5 miles and right at 15 minutes to get aboard Confetti!!! (Yahoo!)

We drive 100 miles north of Boise to Payette Lake at McCall, Elev.5000' Lat 45N. The lake is heaven on earth in the summer... but currently still frozen. We usually launch in early May and pull out in mid Oct. The drive is beautiful and usually takes about 1hour 45 minutes. I missed about 3 weekends last season.

One hour to Lake Winnipesaukee, NH from home. Used to be 1.5 hours back in NJ. I think if it were anything over two hours one way, that would can day sails and make overnights a must...still worth it for the stress relief alone. Think how much an hour head doctors must charge for therapy.

About 85 miles from Hemet to San Diego, CA. About 2 hours driving in lots of traffic but I can sometimes get home in 1.5 hours late at night with no traffic. Hardest part is the 2 lane "death alley" from Temecula to Hemet on Winchester Road. Too many housing developments going in. Soon I will have to drive around this mess and it will take longer.
Worth every minute of travel to sail. I thought I would only go to the boat every other weekend once in the slip. Have managed to get there almost every weekend.

Sure wish I could sail after work on the weekdays like Jim. Summer vacation is coming and I can sail every day, all day, all summer if I want.

It takes 25 minutes to get to my boat from work, but 12 to 15 minutes from home depending the lights. I'm not sure of the mileage. In Southern California we tend to thing of driving distances in terms of how long, not how far.

About a half a mile as the crow flies, a mile as the car drives. From the church about 32 miles, and 35-40 minutes.

I like the home being so close!

2.2 miles, 6 minutes or so... A little longer by bike. I'd be willing to go a little further, but my objective is to have it tied up to the deck outside of the great room. (I might be able to afford that somewhere in Venezuela...)

15 to 18 mins, depending on the lights and traffic. Corpus Christi is a wonderful sailing area, but getting to the dock is a challenge!! Crazy drivers. Dan

ORION is 15 minutes away from Nokomis in the area of the Venice jetty at the Venice Yacht club. No excuses except the skipper is lots more decrepit than the vessel, god bless, ron srsk #2343 SW FL

When I am home on the Island it's about 170 ft. 100 from house to dock and the dock is about 70 ft. takes about one minute

If I stop in the kitchen for coffee it could be a little longer

I normally moor my C25 in front of my home. I also keep a mooring at our yacht club's mooring basin in case we get a nasty east wind. I move my boat there whenever the weather kicks up enough. The trip is three miles by boat and about 12 miles by car.
