Now I have to answer to the Rear Admiral and the Admiral...
RADM Caroline Wolff joined the crew March 19th. Add 7 lbs 1 oz of rail meat, and at 19 inches, she doesn't have to duck trimming the jib through a gybe!...

Yeah, those belly baby slings are a huge improvement over those old backpacks.
We have dock neighbors who planned both children to be born in the off season so as not to interfere with sailing ! Yep, dad would single hand while mom was breast feeding down below.
Yea Duane! She'll have to duck before you know it! My best to the Admiral--she takes most of the credit, regardless of how hard you think you worked! As Buzz says, girls are great! My two (grown) are the lights of my life! (Either one could probably scale the mast with no mechanical assistance.)
Beautiful little girl Duane! Use to I couldn't wait till my son could work a lawn mower, forget that, now I can't wait till he can hoist the sails! Congatulations!

First thought was a gimbled bungee cord mess. Harv and Lisa are having a kid (co-owner and his wife) in August so we though we could rig something. After some additional thought, I thinking of adding seat belts down below so we can just strap the carrier in similar to the car.
On another note, check with your local fire department - they inspected our car seats for recalls and installation problems prior to the birth. The FD in your area might have something similar.
