The current topic about cleaning the rubrail got me to looking at mine. I noticed a slight distortion in the rubrail on the port side just below the drainage slot under the jib track near the Catalina 25 logo. I looked closer to see that the distortion in

I had the same concern when we purchased School's Out three years ago.
After asking several other Cat owners I found out that the stress marks in the gel coat at that particular place is one of those "it's the nature of the beast things". I wouldn'
