Those of you who have made slip covers what worked best? Elastic corners like fitted bed sheets, laced-up backs, fully zippered, snaps....?
I've got limited experience with this kind of work and I'd like to do it so that it holds up and looks great without the trial and error process I usually go through

We just used some normal upholstry fabric and put grommets on the back every foot or two and just tied some line around the backs and it worked out pretty well. The grommets are really easy to put on and you can get it at any craft or fabric store. We sewed an overlap of about 1 inch all around and put the grommet in this reinforced zone. Not perfect, but looks better than the old things. Here is a picture of the new interior after we put the slip covers on this weekend with our pooch hanging out. If we had put the things on at home instead of the boat, we could have pulled them on tighter and it would look better.
