I'm pulling Chimera, a 1980 Catalina 25 swing keel, out for the first time next week. I have no idea when the last haul out was, but I've owned it 1 year and 6 months and had no problems with the hull or keel.

Can anyone provide a quick check list of things I need to prepare to do when I get it out? Especially, what should I do before I pull it out to get ready? Besides print out reams of advice from this forum, of course

sand and paint hull
inspect keel cable
do any through hull work

If you plan on doing painting, check with the yard first, you may need a drop cloth underneath the jack stands...

I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of all of it...

If you have a knot meter with a thru hull paddle wheel make sure that you remove the paddle wheel before putting the boat on the trailer. I know that if I leave mine in, there is a very good chance that the rollers will hit the paddle wheel and crush it.

Make sure all four trailer tires have the correct tire pressure, and that your winch cable is in good condition.

Are you looking for an inspection list, work list, or how to get it onto the trailer and home ? Looks like there is some confusion here.
