I already posted this on the C25 specific list, but I thought maybe someone from the C250 group could help. I have a bookshelf 110V radio on the boat, that I want to improve the radio reception. Any suggestions? I have a signal splitter from the VHF, but I have been told that it won't work on the 110V radio. Thanks, Chris
I hooked the antenna of my FM radio up to the back stay....(soldered a big loop on the wire and bolted it to the padeye on the inside, between two washers.) Works good, cheap.
I agree with Jim. The voltage should not matter 12v vs 110v. The only problem I see could see using the splitter is if the cable company has a blocker - no sure how your system is hooked up. You could use a simple loop (cheap from Radio Shack, etc.) even stretched out under cushions. FM is very directional; however, that would be better than no antenna at all.
