I recently had the mast taken down to inspect the stays and to repair an intermittent problem with the lights and poor VHF transmittance. The Stays look very good but when do they need to be replaced? A boat at our marina lost their mast last year. That could ruin the whole day. I have had our 1985 Catalina 25 for 6 years and who knows when they have been replaced. Should I go for it???????? Are there different levels of Quality? Where is the best place to buy for price and Quality? Do you need to replace turnbuckles?

Thanks
Frank

I bought the new standing rigging from CATALINADIRECT.COM and am very pleased with it, it was cheap and very high quality. Buy the entire kit except the back stay, the kit comes with new turnbuckles. The backstay is sold separately.
