I own a '79 SR SK on which I spent weeks last spring redoing the keel trunk after an unmanned keel lowering incident by the previous hack/owner (who by the way denied it at purchase time...but I'm not bitter!). To make a long story short, the repair worke

Tim, I have a 1978 Swing, #765. The keel trunk is attached to the inside of the seat. No gap. I am fortunate that the previous two owners never caused any damage. Bilge is bone dry all the time. Ken Cave has a pretty detailed account of his keel trunk

Tim,
I own a '79 sk-sr also and am the original owner so know here history from day one. My keel trunk is heavily glassed on the starboard side and aft end to the seat "box". There is also gobs of some type of filler slathered over the front of the kee
