Can anyone tell me where the factory AC outlets (X2) were located? How about the shorepower inlet plug? I have a 1982 C25 swing keel.

Thanx,

I can't speak to exact locations on your boat, however -

There was one outlet on the aft bulkhead next or near the switch panel. One on the lower fiberglass to the left of the companionway stairs, one on the Wall below the pinrail above the table (dinette), and one in the head.

The shorepower inlet plug on our boat is located where the number 2 is on this diagram. (I believe the lifeline config in this pic was rarely used and a stern pulpit is the norm.)

I believe the AC was an option. If that's the case and yours never existed, I would recommend putting them in where convenient. We just upgraded our AC panel last week using a Blue Sea Systems panel. If you did have one of the old style single arm throw switches, I highly recommend doing the same.

On my older hull (#158), there is are two duplex outlets. They are both mounted in the flat "shelves" above the port and starboard settees (seats). About midway in the fore/aft direction. Good place for them? Not really. If I was starting from scratch I'd put them elsewhere. One in a vertical surface over by the galley, one accessible to the head/vberth area.

I have the same shelf outlets as Clam and a third that appears to be an add on in the forward V berth. I like this outlet because I can plug in a small clip-on fan for those warmer nights.

On Silver Girl there are two outlets mounted on the shelves behind the pinrails, one each to port and starboard. The 30 amp. 120 volt power inlet is located on the port gunwhale.
