Recently I've been working on a project of replacing some of my sail control lines, 2 reefing lines and the outhaul. As I eye-spliced the ends of the new lines, it required me to spend great effort drilling out the frozen, old fasteners holding the eyestraps (which terminate the old lines) to the spars . Anyway, what is the stuff called which I should coat onto the new stainless fasters that will galvanically separate those fasteners from the aluminum spars?
I think the product is called antisieze. West Marine carries it. Just ask for the compound that you put on stainless fasteners in aluminum. They should know what it is.

Brion Toss recommended Ultra Tef-Gel to me. It is what they use at his shop. A little pricey at around $14 for an ounce, but it goes a long way. It only requires an extra thin layer to prevent galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals. Search Google for Tef-gel.
I also uised the ANTI-SEIZE from WM last year when I stripped the boom of all hardware and re fastened it with SS screws/bolts coated with ANTI-SEIZE. Works well as witnessed by the occasional fastener removal recently.
