I spent the (early) morning thrashing the 767 aroound the sky in the worlds most awesome, multi million $$, virtual reality game... We were done by noon, and decided to get a rentamobil and to go down towards Galveston to torture a boat salesman A week ago he had informed me that a C-42 I was watching for a while had sold. Still, for educational purpouses I wanted to see what I had missed, and after looking at some other (over priced) offerings I went over to the boat in question. There was a lady in the cockpit, and I congratulated her, and informed her that I had been interested in the boat. She graciously invited us on board. When I got down below I instantly recognized her husband. They were Bear and Lynn Myers......the two people who found a rock off the coast of Mexico.
Hearing the story from them was even more compelling than reading it. If before it was not etched in my memory to pop up as a warning/reminder sometime in the future, it now sure as heck is.
Oscar, still in the schoolhouse in Houston.
