The wife and I took 'wait for me' (250 wk) out for the first time on Memorial Day weekend up at Don Pedro. Much fun was had by all! (and thanks, Ed, for helping us rig and sharing your anchoring site).
The most vexing problem we encountered was the stove (Seward, single burner, standard). It flat doesn't work. I went to the extent of taking apart the propane line one section at a time, and determined that propane *is* making it to the stove - but not *through* it.
Before I drag this puppy back to the dealer to have it torn apart, has anyone encountered this problem, and/or have any good suggestions?
it seems to me that we had some trouble with this when we first bought our boat. we found out that you have to hold down on the knob when you light it and then continue to hold it down for a minute or so, then you can let up on it.
My Seward princess is also reluctant to light; there is a faint whistling and the igniter chips away, but it doesn't sound (or smell) like gas is coming through. Have tried lighting with a match too. Nope. So far (three lovely cruises) it's been the Magma for everything, which works fine but it would be nice at anchor to be able to use the Princess for morning coffee. Suggestions?
