When a boat pops up on the market, and all the bank wants out of it is about half the market value, and it's the kind of boat you're looking for, you jump. It so happens that I have been working with a broker in that area, who said he knew the company handling the sale for the bank, and said that he had done business with them before. So I let him handle it. After not hearing from him I called the company myself. The person in charge was hard to get a hold of, but after calling every hour for a half a day I was connected, only to find out that I was too late.....so my broker did not come through for me......
I'm sorry if he fouls your prop when you run over him...(kidding, sort of....)

Sounds like that broker didn't think very much of you. I'll watch for him in thew water.

When I was shopping for a late model C-25WK Mk. IV, I missed several boats by only a day or two. You have to keep watch on the boat ads every day, and call immediately. When I first saw the ad for the boat I bought last September, C-25 #5857, the ad had been posted less than 24 hours when I phoned the brokerage, and I was told they had already received 25 e-mail inquiries and several phone calls. I got the boat only because I was the first person willing to put down a $1000 deposit sight-unseen. I think if I had not seen the ad that morning, someone else would have got the boat and it would have been sold by the next day. C-25 Mk. IV's are a hot commodity.
