Jim Clower, the Commodore of the Hill Country Yacht Club sent me this picture of Moon Chaser in the Recent Fiesta Regatta...the picture tells it all, me and my crew Bob Stalbird finally got it right. We had a 4th and 4 1st place finishes...this is what a C250 is capable of doing. We were sailing in 15-20 with full main and 130 genoa, a bit over canvassed but the crew took turns spilling winds and at the helm. We blew them away especially on the down wind runs, pointed higher using Derek Crawfords controlled round up technique and we were only threatened once in the last race by a Catalina 30

you can see from the pic that the other 5 sailboats including 2 32' Beneteau's are not even in sight!
Thank you Jim for this very telling Shot!,

Hi Steve,

'GREAT shot! You're right about the speed capabilities of the C-250 ... you certainly blew my doors off more than once with "Moon Chaser."

BTW ... I hope you & Lynn have decided to keep your new C-30 on Canyon Lake ... it wouldn't be the same without you!

Buzz,
our new home is Commanders Point at Lake Travis,
there is no way to describe our wonderful experience at Canyon Lake, a true emerald in the Texas Hill country and one of the best kept secrets,
But it is time to push the learning curve and move on toward our eventual goal of moving to the coast and being in a busy and larger lake will present new challenges as well as the larger boat...I will let you know when she and we are ready for guest!,
Steve
