Got a tooth missing on the impeller. Question: Is this part (impeller) readily available - West Marine - Catalina ?? , and what is the procedure for removal of old and installaton of new??

Hopefully not as complicated or as expensive as

Not sure if its available causty, but let me know what you find out. two years ago I replaced a battery in the dark and got the leads reversed. Not realizing what I did, my Co owner noticed the smoke and immediately cut what he though was the wires to t

I assume that we are talking about the knotmeter impeller, and not the one in the O/B.

Thanks Duane for the warning, and Derek for the advice. I'm still on the (frozen) hard, so will not need the plug when removing the unit from inside the hull. I had a sneaking suspicion that the impeller might rotate on a spring loaded shaft, but w
