On the "lines aft" theme again, I've seen pics on Tech Tips where cam cleats are used (offset to fit them in the narrow space between the hand rail and the pop-top), and others with rope clutches. What do YOU like?
For halyards lead aft, I have always been an advocate of rope clutches. More so because I have used them on the boats I race more often than the other. IMHO, when cleating a rope that you more often than not lock it and leave it the clutch has

Excellent point made by Greg Jackson regarding line working load. No matter how taut we make our halyards for those >=15 knot days, we can release our Lewmar rope clutches with one finger. We replaced an off-brand clutch because it was too difficult
