Just want to pass the word that there is a delivery skipper based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, who writes really excellent short articles on sailing and sailboats. His name is John Kretschmer, and his articles can be seen on Sailnet's website at this URL:

I love his book "Flirting with Mermainds" it is one of my favorite cruising books. It is a must read for you!

I really wish he had some other books.
