I am considering relocating my holding tank to recover the wasted space under the v-berth. Can pvc plumbing be used provided there are a few flexible pieces to allow for movement? It would be a lot cheaper than the $$$$ a foot sanitation hose. I would like to put a small tank, selector valve and all the plumbing under the port setee. The hose currently runs through there and the waste thru hull is in this locker and I do not use this space.
I don't think the PVC waste line would be a problem as long as it was anchored to protect it from too much flexing. I would be sure to use double hose clamps at the joints between the fixed sections and the flex hoses.
The holding tank on Mental Floss is located under the Port setee, although I don't have a through hull for waste.
