Sailnet is having a clearance/sale on cordage. The prices are pretty good(I bought 5/16" solid sta-set for .33/ft versus .89/ft at West Marine) and shipping is free until March 31st. Plus no sales tax(at least for me anyway)

I just went back and bought some more rope and now all of my lines will be color coded. Now when I sail with landlubbers, I can just say, "Pull on the pretty blue one".

Hey Max in Jaxs!

I was just out for two nights on the big and beautiful St. Johns. March 1st was my birthaday and I took off from work to sail down (upstream) to my twin brother's new house on the river in Riverdale.

We had a combination housewarming/birhtday party. Dave smoked a 150# pig and fryed 3 turkeys along with 3 kegs.

I stayed on Chick-a-pea for two nights and sailed back on Sunday. Stayed on one tack 20 mi down and also coming home. Only got rained on hard the last 5 mi back. The wind was cooking! With no one else on the river I was able to go below and cook breakfast while the auto tiller steered.

Safe voyages,
Ben, FL s/v Chick-a-pea C250wk
