With just 1 month to spalsh, I haven't decided on what brand of bottom paint I should use. Last year I applied Woolsey. Someone suggested Micron. Boat is in the Northern Chesapeake. Any comments or suggestions?
Last year I got a good buy on West CCP, an ablative paint that did a good job for us in Long Island Sound. I think someone said it was by Interlux. Several friends have used Micron Extra with the slime preventer and were very happy with it--boats came out clean last Fall. It's about half a boat unit more than CCP at regular prices. Aren't you in very low salinity? You shouldn't need the heavy-duty stuff, but you might like the slime preventer.

Last year I used Micro Extra with Biolux. That is the what Interlux calles their slim preventer. I sail in Long Island Sound. The paint worked great but the Biolux was disappointing. I still had slim. Whether I had less slim is something I could never figure out.
Thanks guys. The BoatUs catalog states that with Micron Extra to put on two coats and it can be hauled out and relaunched without repainting. Do you think I can get two seasons out of it? With the Micron CSC its listed as a Multi-season and apply 2-3 coats. The price difference is only $20. The Chesapeake is brackish at the northern end of the bay, but we still have a little slime problem.
